We are looking for a Foam Tooling Engineer to design, develop and maintain tooling and molds for the production of foam components. If you have experience with CAD software and foam manufacturing, we are looking for you!
What will be your job description?
- Design and development of foam tools (moulds, jigs).
- Creation of CAD models and technical drawings.
- Collaboration with development teams to optimize tools.
- Working with suppliers and internal teams to produce and deliver tools,
- Overseeing the installation and commissioning of tools, including conducting tests and performance analysis.
- Monitoring and analysis of tool performance, implementation of corrective measures.
- Promoting lean manufacturing principles.
What knowledge and skills should you have?
- Educated in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of tool room experience, preferably with foam materials.
- Operating CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tool design.
- Knowledge of foam production processes, standards and quality control (e.g. polyurethane, polystyrene or other types of foams).
- Experience with manufacturing processes including mold making, machining and assembly techniques.
- Problem solving ability, attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
