The Indirect Procurement Specialist is a key role in the Procurement team, responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services that support the company's operations. This includes items such as office supplies, IT equipment, facility management services and professional services. This position includes strategic supplier management, cost optimization and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and standards.
What will be your job description?
- Oversee the purchase of indirect materials, services and equipment in accordance with company requirements and budget.
- Conduct market research, evaluate and select suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, delivery times and reliability.
- Actively participate in negotiating terms with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms and service levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, to ensure long-term partnerships and consistent quality of service.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in indirect purchasing activities.
- Ensure purchasing activities are in line with company policy and legal requirements. Provide regular reports on purchasing performance and KPIs.
- Work closely with internal departments such as finance, operations and logistics to understand their needs and align purchasing strategies.
What knowledge and skills should you have?
- Demonstrable experience in indirect sourcing, purchasing or supply chain management in an automotive company.
- Good negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of procurement software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Communication in English, another language is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends.
